Our financial literacy program was designed for 3rd through 12th grade students. We feel that children and teens are never too young to learn the importance of budgeting, saving and how money works. Money principles taught during the workshop include, but not limited to: Where Money Comes From, How to Make Money Work for You, Budgeting / Forecasting, How to Write a Check, Balancing a Checkbook, Credit Cards and, Debt. We will also discuss the difference between assets and liabilities. Once students learn how money works, they often display an instinctive conservatism about spending. It is our hope they ultimately understand that “Money doesn’t just grow on trees.”
